UK Status Resident. A local species in southern England, becoming very local north of the midlands. Montgomeryshire Status Discovered at Llanymynech Rocks in the north-east of the county in 2012. Wingspan : M & F 11-14.mm. Confusion species S. larseniella and S. cinctella. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Chalk and limestone grassland. Foodplant Bird's-foot-trefoil. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant? Larva feeds between spun leaves. Pupa is reddish brown in a slight cocoon in the detritus. |
